That is my biggest complaint about Italy! For a country that loves children and is in many ways so family friendly there is a significant lack of playgrounds and once you find one they are usually covered in grafitti (at least they are in Sicily). Will mark down that one you guys found in Rome for future visits. Our best luck with "play" spaces in Italy are the piazzas. What are the playgrounds like in Switzerland? Would love to see a post about those.
the playgrounds in switzerland are great!! and there are a lot of them (in case i forget about doing a post!). and almost every apartment building has one, i think.
