That article about healthcare is one of the stupidest things I've read. Canadian and British healthcare systems are a nightmare. Everyone may be covered, but the actual care that is provided is abysmal. And Obamacare is not trying to "swissify" our system...a public option would leave the insurance companies unable to compete against the vast montetary resources of the non-profit government, and we would eventually end up with single-payer like Canada and Britain. All without addressing any of the issues which could create true reform in our insurance industry, such as torte reform, portability, or giving individuals the same tax benefits as employers when buying their own insurance. Pure stupidity and power-grabbing.
